Considering a school is a big decision, and we’re here to help. Below are answers to some of the most common questions families ask when exploring BGA. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please reach out to our admissions office.
Application & Deadlines
BGA has priority application deadlines based on division:
- Early Learning Center: November 15
- Kindergarten: December 15
- Grades 5 and up: January 15
We recommend applying under these deadlines, especially as spaces fill quickly at many grade levels.
Yes. Applications completed by the priority deadline are the first to be considered for available spaces and financial aid. After those dates, admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis if space is available.
We will review late applications on a space-available basis. If a grade level is full, we will place qualified applicants in a wait pool and notify families if a space becomes available.
We accept applications for all grades, but our primary entry points are Pre-K3 and fifth and ninth grade, when class sizes expand to welcome new students.
We typically do not accept applications for 12th grade, as the Upper School program is designed to be a multi-year experience.
Admissions Process
The first step is to submit an inquiry, which allows us to connect with you and help schedule a campus visit.
The process includes the online application, student shadow day, academic records, teacher recommendations, and, depending on the grade, an assessment or student interview.
Yes. BGA is a highly sought-after school, and admissions are competitive. With an average student retention rate between 95–98%, space can be limited at many grade levels.
Students visit campus during the school day to experience classes, meet faculty and students, and participate in a grade-level appropriate assessment or interview. Details vary by division.
Campus Visits
Absolutely. We offer daily personalized tours as well as preview events throughout the year. Start by submitting an inquiry, and we’ll help schedule your visit.
