Dining
Battle Ground Academy partners with FLIK Independent School Dining, the premier foodservice provider for over 270 private and independent schools nationwide, to create fresh, locally and regionally inspired meals for our K-12 students.
FLIK's Food Philosophy
As a culinary driven organization, we believe fresh made is best made. Our focus has always been cooking with whole, fresh ingredients while limiting the use of processed foods. Our on-site chef, James Johnson, creates school menus with local and regional flavors and ingredients. We encourage parents and students to share their feedback through the comment section in the menu link or by emailing the food service director, Alli Brown.
More Than Just Food
We go above and beyond by offering nutrition education that empowers students to make healthy choices on a daily basis. Whether it be tasting tables in the dining hall encouraging students to try new healthy foods, or delivering nutrition lessons in a classroom, our management team and regional dietician are available to support the wellness initiatives at Battle Ground Academy.
Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements
We take seriously our role in serving students with special dietary needs safely. Managers receive support from registered dietitians regarding training, operations and communication. Allergy Boards are posted in both dining halls to help students navigate safe choices.
We feel it is important that you know you can reach out to the Food Service Director, especially at the beginning of the year, to meet the team and discuss individual needs. We are happy to answer questions you may have concerning menus, dietary restrictions, and any other concerns.
