About Battle Ground Academy

Battle Ground Academy is the No. 1 Private K-12 School in Williamson County. We've been the educational leader in the area for 135 years, working day in and day out to ignite and nurture curiosity, intellect, and character in our students.

As an independent school, BGA has the flexibility to adjust our curriculum to meet each student where they are academically and create a community where students from all different backgrounds feel like they belong. BGA receives no government funding and is not affiliated with any religious, social, or other educational organization.

Why Choose BGA

What makes BGA special? From strong academics to wellness to myriad co-curricular activities, BGA is much more than a mere classroom experience.

Experiential Learning

BGA understands the value of connecting lessons with real-world examples, in and out of the classroom, to reinforce what we’re teaching. And, it happens in every grade and every class.

Community Service

Required annual service hours are gained through on-campus, school-organized projects as well as student-led service with nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee and around the world.

Holistic Approach to Wellness

BGA's Wellness Program includes physical, mental, nutritional, and recovery components essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Growth Mindset Development

BGA encourages a growth mindset, providing students with the support they need to push ahead and build resilience as they work toward their goals.

Strong Academics

Through our curriculum, special programs, and co-curricular opportunities, we prepare students for the academic rigors of some of the country’s top colleges and universities.

Welcoming Community

Our community recognizes and respects students from all different backgrounds and provides an environment where each student can feel a sense of belonging.

Bonds that Last a Lifetime

BGA students enjoy the continuity of strong friendships and relationships with teachers and students that span their entire K-12 experience and often last a lifetime.

Full Focus on Each Student

Each of our students is known, valued, supported, and taught as an individual year after year as they grow and develop from children into young adults.

Bright Futures Ahead

BGA Wildcats graduate from the nation's top college and universities, building successful, fulfilling careers.

Interests, Ideas, and Passions

We take pride in igniting the curiosity of our students both inside and outside the classroom through programs that expose them to varied interests, new ideas, and potential passions.

Honor, Character, and Service

Our Honor Code, Core Values, and the BGA Way are revered as the bedrocks of our community. Through character education and service, our students learn the value of respect and compassion.

Independence and Freedom
As an accredited independent school, BGA is free from government mandates for testing and learning that may not fit every student.
