Since the school’s move to the Glen Echo campus in 1996, our students, faculty, and guests have attended performances in a number of spaces, including the outdoors. No space matched the quality of the performance or the passion of our students and teachers. Until now. A new 550 seat theatre will provide performers, tech crews, and audience members with a venue on par with the Mary Campbell Visual Arts Center and the Jewell Athletic & Wellness Center.
Since the construction of the Glen Echo campus and the Upper School in particular, much has changed on the college campuses that inspired the design of our buildings and classrooms. Today, academic space extends beyond the classroom. Students and teachers need spaces that allow for individual reflection and foster cooperation. In a short period of time, BGA’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Department has distinguished itself in the academic and business communities. Classrooms, offices, and meeting rooms will provide all Upper School students with spaces that prepare them for college and careers, just as our campus did in 1996.
