When you give to BGA, you reinforce your belief in our mission to ignite and nurture student curiosity, intellect, and character.
A Culture of Giving
Since its founding in 1889, there has been a culture of giving at Battle Ground Academy and valuing the importance of education for young people. BGA's first donors were members of the Franklin community who recognized the need for a college preparatory school in a town that was still recovering from the Battle of Franklin in 1864. Over time, support for the Academy has grown from just a few to an extended community that includes alumni, current parents, trustees, faculty, grandparents, parents of alumni, businesses, and local leaders.
Why Annual Giving Matters
BGA Fund gifts can be spent as they come in, creating opportunities for learning and discovery, giving BGA the flexibility to take advantage of emerging opportunities, and to respond to unanticipated needs and challenges. They also provide our Head of School with resources to plan for BGA's future.
Leading by Example
BGA's Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring that BGA has the financial resources necessary to be a truly great independent school. Each year, 100% of the Trustees contribute to the BGA Fund.
Gifts of every size enhance the BGA student experience. Last year, BGA Fund Gifts of $500 or less made up 76% of the gifts received and directly impacted students and faculty.
Why Give to BGA?
Your gift to BGA helps us teach and provide exceptional young people with the tools to succeed in school and contribute to the bigger society as good citizens. Your gifts help students aspire to make the world a better place, knowing that they have a community of supporters behind them all the way.
The BGA Fund provides a means by which we help deliver the transformative experience everyone wants and expects for our students. This year, 4% of the school's budget is covered by the BGA Fund. As a 501(c)3 organization, your BGA Fund donations are tax-deductible.
