Can’t attend our Bookfair at Barnes & Noble?  Visit to support us online from Dec. 3 to Dec. 11.  Please use Bookfair ID# 11581451.
All Middle School students will have the opportunity to attend the Bookfair on grade level field trips.

Thursday, Dec. 3rd:
  • 10:00-11:25—7th grade
  • 1:30-2:45—5th grade  (with optional parent pickup at the store at 2:20 with signed permission form)
Friday, Dec. 4th:
  • 9:00-10:25—8th grade
  • 1:30-2:45—6th grade  (with optional parent pickup at the store at 2:20 with signed permission form)

All 5th and 6th graders’ families will receive a permission form in early November.  Please complete the form and return it by Nov. 13th indicating whether your student will be picked up at the store or will ride back to campus to be picked up at school.  We need to know which students are returning to BGA and which are being picked up in the store, so all 5th and 6th graders are REQUIRED to turn in permission slips.  Any student not with their parent by the time the bus leaves Barnes & Noble will return to school on the bus for safety reasons.  Permission slips may also be found on the MS Library Portal of the BGA website.  Please return permission slips by Nov. 13th.
All 7th and 8th graders will go to Barnes & Noble in the morning and will all return to campus.  Please email Angela Green, Middle School Librarian (, if you have any questions.
Links to permission slips/info sheets (in case they don’t make it home from advisory): 5th grade slip, 6th grade slip, 7th grade sheet, 8th grade sheet
We need parent volunteers to help with field trips, set up, clean up, and activities.  We also need MS student volunteers to read in the window (5th-8th graders) and to be the Wildcat mascot or mascot helper (7th & 8th graders only).  The link to the sign up is:  Reading in the window display is a great way to earn an hour of service credit while getting those IR requirements completed for English class!  Will still have the beanbag chairs for readers!  Upper School student volunteers are needed to help with the gift-wrapping table on Saturday, Dec. 5th between 10 AM and 3 PM.  One- to two-hour shifts are available for service credit.  (Previous experience wrapping presents necessary.)  If interested in any volunteer opportunity, please follow the link above, see Mrs. Green in the MS Library, or email her at  You may also contact our Bookfair chair: Lynda Sebastian (

Do you need a Cheesecake Factory cheesecake for a holiday party or for your family to enjoy?  Buy one at the Bookfair to help support BGA!  The preorder form can be found on the Library Portal of BGA’s website (click here) and a variety of flavors are available. These can also be purchased during the Bookfair, and BGA gets a part of the proceeds.  However, preordering guarantees you’ll get the flavor you want!  They come frozen for thawing at the time of your party (or whenever your family wants some cheesecake).  You can pay for it during the Bookfair and arrange to pick it up at a later date if you would prefer.  This is a tasty way to support our school!
