BGA Closed for Thanksgiving

BGA Closed for Thanksgiving

The faculty and staff of Battle Ground Academy want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. We also want to remind everyone that the school offices will be closed November 17 through November 25 for the holiday. We will resume normal school hours on Monday, November 26.
Additional Information
Character. Scholarship. Excellence.
To achieve this goal, faculty at BGA are singularly focused on your child. Our teachers bring their passions into the classroom and develop deep, caring relationships that inspire a love of subjects and a true love for learning. This includes an ability to adapt lessons and curricula that fuel a student's intellectual curiosity, and leave space in the day for inquiry and reflection.  A good school knows your child by name; an exceptional school knows your child by heart. BGA is exceptional in this respect.

Our globally-inspired, college preparatory curriculum readies students for challenges both in and out of the classroom. We want the critical thinking skills that are honed in the classroom to be naturally and consistently put into practice beyond our campus.

A BGA education is enriched by opportunities - in athletics, on the stage, through service learning, spirit days, field trips, and assemblies with a wide variety of speakers. We understand that teachable moments are everywhere (often in unexpected places and frequently student-led) and we are bound neither by our mission nor government mandate to teach in only one way.  We believe in the transformative power of independent education.

Regardless of when a student starts at BGA, our goal is to provide for each student an environment that develops and values relational experiences within the school.
“I was reminded of the unique learning community at BGA when I recently traveled to another school for work. It is not uncommon to see students in a BGA classroom shoulder-to-shoulder with a teacher during an art project or comparing new ideas and words in writing workshop” - Middle School Parent
