: Schedule your testing.
Testing for Grades K-4: Applicants for Lower School are required to complete an assessment. Kindergarten Testing is done at the Lower School on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings by appointment and takes approximately an hour to an hour and a half. First-fourth grade testing will take place on your child’s shadow day. To schedule testing, please contact Elizabeth Spitzer at (615) 567-2018 or email@example.com. Please note, we are unable to hold an assessment time for your child without an application on file.
Testing for Grades 5-12:
Applicants for Middle and Upper School are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). BGA administers the ISEE on campus periodically. If you are applying to BGA and would like to take the test on campus, please call us for an invitation code to register. If you are taking the ISEE at another school, BGA's school code is 430700. Please contact Robin Goertz
, Director of Admissions, at (615) 567-9014 for more details.Step 5:
Schedule your shadow day. Shadow Days allow your student to participate in a classroom discussion, play at recess, and meet our inspiring faculty, helping to equip your family to make what could be one of the most important academic decision of your child's life. Likewise, this visit day is a critical piece in helping a student feel comfortable with becoming a part of a new school community.
Lower School: Shadow days are required for applicants in grades 1-4. You will be contacted to schedule your child’s shadow day once an application has been submitted. Admissions assessments for grades 1-4 will be administered at this time.
Step 6: Request school records (not required for kindergarten applicants) and teacher recommendations. These forms are available to download as part of your admissions checklist once you've applied, and are also available from the links at the right.Step 7:
Middle and Upper School: During their visit, prospective students will spend the day on campus, paired with a current student who will introduce them to students and teachers, take them to lunch and recess, and help the student feel comfortable and welcome - a trademark of BGA. If you know a current BGA student you would like to shadow, let us know and we will arrange that for you.
Track your application progress through your personalized online checklist.Step 8:
BGA will notify families of admission decisions beginning in late February. We look forward to working with you and your student throughout the admissions process.
