Mikah Charley ’20 Awarded 2020 John Maher Builders Scholarship
Recent graduate Mikah Charley has been awarded a $2,000 John Maher Builders Scholarship. Mikah is one of 18 Williamson County standouts recognized as a 2019-20 John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete and one of only four recipients of the scholarship.
COVID-19 ended the spring track season before Mikah could defend her 2019 state championships in the triple jump and hurdles, but Coach Robert Jemison (in a recent article with The Williamson Herald) said Mikah “will be remembered as one of the best to wear a BGA uniform in a star-studded track and career field” despite missing out on her senior season. In addition to her 2019 state championship titles, Mikah leaves BGA as the 2018 long-jump champion and holds DII-A Middle Region records in the long jump, triple jump, 100-meter hurdles, and 300-meter hurdles.
Mikah will continue her track career at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
