Basketball Round Up

Girls Varsity Basketball
After winning against Goodpasture, the ladies of BGA basketball entered the region tournament. They lost an extremely close game to CPA in triple OT (68-62) on Friday night, and on tired legs fell to Clarksville Academy on Saturday (47-32). They were led in scoring on the weekend by senior Kyah Keller (33 points) and sophomore Kearstyn Seay (17 points). They exited the region tournament as the #4 seed, which put them on the road for a sub state game against University School of Jackson. They traveled to Jackson, TN, this past Tuesday where they played their last game of the season. USJ eliminated the BGA ladies from post season play with a score of 65-50. Kyah Keller '19 again led the team in scoring with 21 points, followed by Ella Rose Gallimore '19 with 10 points.

Boys Varsity Basketball
The team ended their season in heart-breaking fashion as Clarksville Academy hit a shot just as the buzzer sounded ending the Wildcats season 58-56.  Garnett Hollis '20 led the team with 28 points and two assists. Kenny Rawls '19 had six points and eight rebounds, Calvin Quehl '20 and Nick Semptimphelter '20 both contributed six points.  Kaleb Seay '20 had five points, three rebounds, and one assist.
