Battle Ground Academy Wildcats extended their postseason play Friday night with a decisive 30-10 on-the-road victory over Knoxville Webb. The strong defense was led by Teddy Holloway (10 tackles), Evan Gaunt (5 tackles), and Chico Bennett (5 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2.5 tackles for loss) altogether limiting the Spartans to 150 offensive yards. The BGA offense was paced by Briston Bennett (14 carries for 111 yards and three touchdowns) and Kaleb Seay (15 carries for 79 yards). Quarterback Nick Semptimphelter was 9-of-12 passing for 129 yards and one touchdown and BGA kicker Jack Sauder hit a 34-yard field goal. With the win, BGA returns home to host Franklin Road Academy this Friday in a state semifinal matchup, kick-off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 and available at the gate or online (there is a $1 convenience fee for the online purchase). The winner will advance to the TSSAA Division II-AA State Championship on November 30th.
