BGA defeated Boyd Buchanan 49-7 on Friday night at Guffee-Brown Stadium. In what was nearly another blowout game for the Wildcats, BGA advances to 4-0 for the season. The Wildcat offense generated 416 yards of total offense and the defense limited Boyd Buchanan to only 185 yards of total offense. Quarterback Nick Semptimphelter ‘20 led the offense by completing 16 of 22 passes for 305 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception.
Antonio Stevens ‘20 was the leading receiver with six catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Other players making great contributions to the offense included Chico Bennett ‘19 with two catches for 69 yards and a touchdown; Wilson Parker ‘19 with three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown; Kaleb Seay ‘20 with two catches for 38 yards and a touchdown. Seay also led the rushing attack with eight catches for 48 yards. Briston Bennett ‘20 chipped in a rushing touchdown.
The Wildcat defense was led by Sean Williams ‘22 with five tackles; Evan Gaunt ‘19 with five tackles, a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. Trace Adams ‘19, Chico Bennett, Wilson Parker ‘10 and Caleb Ryce ‘20 all had four tackles each.
BGA will host Christ Presbyterian Academy for a regional match-up on Friday.
