Step 1: To begin the process, first complete the Online Inquiry Form. In this step, you will be asked to provide information that will be used to create your family's record. Step 3: Complete an
Online Application. BGA is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 academic year. Priority deadline for the Lower, Middle and Upper School is Monday, January 15, 2021. After January 15, 2021, additional follow up documents will still be accepted for all applicant files.
After this date, applications will still be considered as space allows.
Step 4: Schedule your testing.
Testing for Grades K-4: Applicants for Lower School are required to complete an assessment.
Kindergarten testing is done at the Lower School on select Saturday mornings in 45-minute appointments from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A link to register for kindergarten testing will be sent upon receipt of your child’s application.
First through fourth grade testing takes place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings throughout the year by appointment. Please note, we are unable to hold an assessment time for your child without an application on file.
Testing for Grades 5-12: Applicants for Middle and Upper School are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). BGA administers the ISEE on campus periodically. If you are applying to BGA and would like to take the test on campus, please call us for an invitation code to register. If you are taking the ISEE at another school, BGA's school code is 430700. Step 5: Schedule your shadow day. Shadow Days allow your student to participate in a classroom discussion, play at recess, and meet our inspiring faculty, helping to equip your family to make what could be one of the most important academic decisions of your child's life. Likewise, this visit day is a critical piece in helping a student feel comfortable with becoming a part of a new school community.
Due to COVID protocols, we have adjusted our shadow days based on grade level. Your admissions representative will provide additional information once we have received your application for admission.
Step 6: Request school records (not required for kindergarten applicants) and teacher recommendations. These forms are available to download as part of your admissions checklist once you've applied, and are also available from the links at the right.Step 7: Apply for
Financial Aid, if requested. Deadline is February 1, 2021.
After February 1, applications will still be considered as funds allow.Step 8: Track your application progress through your personalized online checklist.
