Experiential Learning

Guest Artist Speaks and Paints in Class

BGA understands the value of connecting lessons with real-world examples, in and out of the classroom, to reinforce what we’re teaching. And, it happens in every grade and every class.

Hands-on Learning

Whether in kindergarten math or eleventh-grade macroeconomics, teachers provide opportunities for hands-on learning.

Community Service

BGA prepares students to be thoughtful citizens by providing opportunities for service-learning beginning in the Lower School. In Middle and Upper School, students complete annual service hour requirements, gained through on-campus, school-organized projects as well as student-led service with nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee and around the world.

Field Experiences

Field experiences happen on and off campus, as students interact with experts – scientists, engineers, artists, historians, agriculturists, authors, and even FBI agents.
