Experiential Learning

Battle Ground Academy's students lined up in the field during experiential learning

BGA understands the value of connecting lessons with real-world examples, in and out of the classroom, to reinforce what we’re teaching. And, it happens in every grade and every class.

Hands-on Learning

Whether in kindergarten math or eleventh-grade macroeconomics, teachers provide opportunities for hands-on learning.

Community Service

BGA prepares students to be thoughtful citizens by providing opportunities for service learning beginning in the Lower School. In Middle School and Upper School, students complete annual service hour requirements, gained through on-campus, school-organized projects as well as student-led service with nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee and around the world.

Field Experiences

Field experiences happen on and off campus, as students interact with experts – scientists, engineers, artists, historians, agriculturists, authors, and even FBI agents.
