The Greers won the 82nd BGA Tug across the Harpeth River. Due to Covid restrictions, only seniors made the trip to the river for the traditional Tug. Ninth through 11th-grade students participated in grade-level Tugs at Guffee-Brown Stadium, which Platos won 3-0, before forming a spirit tunnel for the seniors’ send-off.
BGA’s annual tug-of-war is one of the largest and oldest tug-of-war competitions in the United States. The Platos lead the all-time Tug record with 41 wins. The Greers have now won 39 times and there are two ties (both happened when the rope broke).
