Nine BGA students have won awards in the 30th Annual Middle Tennessee Scholastic Art Competition. An exhibit of their works will be displayed at Cheekwood February 6-21. Please join us in congratulating the following winners:

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest running and most prestigious art scholarship and recognition program for creative teens, and the largest source of scholarships for young artists. The awards have encouraged creativity and talent since 1923 and feature some notable alumni that include Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Ken Burns, Robert Redford and Lena Dunham. In the nearly 100 year history of the program, the criteria for judging remains the same. Artwork is evaluated on originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal vision.
