Athletic Roundup: Week of January 4
Girls Basketball 
Grace Christian Academy
Tuesday, January 5
The Wildcats lost at home to Grace Christian Academy 37-40. They were led in scoring by senior Phoebe Proctor, who had 9 points. 
 
MTCS
Thursday, January 7
The Wildcats lost at home to Middle Tennessee Christian School 34-46. They were led in scoring by junior Graci Semptimphelter with 12, followed by senior Kearstyn Seay with 11. 
 
Webb Bell Buckle 
Friday, January 8
The Wildcats lost at home to Webb Bell Buckle 34-53. Senior Kearstyn Seay led the team in scoring with 13 points. Seniors Naomi Nelson, Beth Fleming, Phoebe Proctor, and Kearstyn Seay were recognized on Senior Night after the game. 
 
Boys Basketball
Zion Christian Academy
Tuesday, January 5
The Wildcats lost a road contest to Zion Christian. They were led in scoring by Sean Williams with 18 points and 4 assists. Kavien Jones had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Cole Matthews, Braden Iverson, and Xavier Shaw all contributed 6 points in the effort.
 
MTCS
Thursday, January 7
The Wildcats got off to a hot start but were unable to close the game. They lost to MTCS 63-49. BGA was led in scoring again by junior Sean Williams with 18 points. Senior Kavien Jones had another strong outing with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Senior Jackson Brown had a good game with 7 points as well.
 
Webb Bell Buckle 
Friday, January 8
The Wildcats lost to an athletic Webb team 62-49.  They had a lot of fight and competed the whole game. junior Sean Williams led the team with 20 points while also putting in an electric dunk to get the team going. Senior Xavier Shaw had 7 points and 4 rebounds while freshman Kavien Jones added 9 points and 9 rebounds.
 
Hockey
Brentwood High School
Tuesday, January 5
With a goal scored in the final seconds of the game, BGA-FHS-HFA fell to Brentwood High School with a final score of 3-2. The team will enter the quest for the Preds’ Cup, the upper division bracket for the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey League, as the No. 8 seed in the double elimination tournament. Tournament play will begin the week of January 11.  

Junior Carter Cranford finished the regular season as the team’s leading goal scorer with 16 goals scored in 13 games played. Overall, Carter was 5th place in number of goals scored in the regular season in the entire GNASH League.  

Wrestling 
Nashville Christian & Goodpasture  
Tuesday, January 5
The Razzlin' Wildcats traveled to Nashville Christian Tuesday evening to wrestle against their first competition of the season. The Wildcat's excitement and enthusiasm to be on the mat definitely was on display during the match. The Wildcats wrestled Nashville Christian and Goodpasture. Fairview & East Robertson 
Thursday, January 7
The Wrestling Wildcats traveled to Fairview High School Thursday evening to wrestle against East Robertson High School and Fairview High School in a tri-meet. The Wildcats opened up versus East Robertson and got off to a quick start with a pin from 145 lb. freshman Carter Baumgartner. The Wildcats then ran off three straight victories from 170 lb. senior state qualifier Jack Revere, 182 lb. junior Luke Sutherland, and 195 lb. senior state qualifier Iman Lohrasbi. BGA defeated East Robertson 60-12. The Wildcats then wrestled Fairview High School and lost 51-21. Senior 170 lb. Jack Revere, senior 195 lb. Iman Lohrasbi, 106 lb. eighth-grader Bode Robertson, 145 lb. freshman Carter Baumgartner, and 152 lb. freshman Ian Carlig were all victorious in their matches.
