Athletic Roundup: Week of January 25
Girls Basketball 
Monday, January 25 
The Wildcats traveled to play Providence Christian Academy in a GIRLS contest this evening in Murfreesboro. BGA scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, but ended up falling to PCA 38-53. Junior Graci Sempithleter scored 12, and senior Phoebe Proctor had 9.
Tuesday, January 26
The Wildcats hosted Zion Christian tonight at BGA High School. BGA played every player dressed out, and points were scattered throughout the whole team. Junior Graci Sempithleter and senior Kearstyn Seay led the squad with 8 points each.
Thursday, January 28
The Wildcats played a make-up game tonight at FRA.The Wildcats won 48-32, playing great defense and all-around team basketball. Senior Phoebe Proctor led the team with 21 points. Junior Gracie Sempithleter tallied 13, and senior Kearstyn Seay put up 12.
Saturday, January 29
The Wildcats went head to head with CPA tonight. The team hit 8 three-pointers. Senior Kearstyn Seay put up 16 points at point guard, and Junior Graci Sempithleter added 13. 
In the last seconds of the game BGA fell to the CPA Lions 45-46. The Wildcats play again Tuesday at The Webb School.
Boys Basketball 
Monday, January 25
The Wildcats went on the road and won a tough district battle 43-41. They were led in scoring by junior Sean Williams, who had 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.  Senior Xavier Shaw had 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Freshman Kavien Jones had 6 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Alex Krause played strong with 6 rebounds as well. It was a good team win for the Wildcats as they prepare for the final stretch of the season.

The Wildcats lost a tough district game to CPA 83-57. It was tied late in the third quarter, but a scoring run from CPA cemented the victory for them. Freshman Kavien Jones led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Junior Sean Williams added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Senior Alex Krause added 10 points and 5 rebounds to the effort.

White House & Harpeth HS
Friday, January 29
The Wildcats traveled to Kingston Springs to grapple against home team Harpeth High School and White House Heritage on Friday evening. The Wildcats wrestled with a lot of grit to defeat Harpeth High School 42-33 and were victorious vs. White House Heritage 52-30. The featured wrestler of the evening was senior 182-lb. Max Sale, who defeated both of his opponents with pins at two different weight classes. Max wrestled 182 lbs. vs. White House Heritage and 195 lbs. vs. Harpeth High School. Max's matches were crucial in flipping the momentum to propel the Wildcats to victories in both matches. Our team’s 170-lb. senior Jack Revere (forfeit), 152-lb. senior Kevin Dennis, and 160-lb. freshman Ian Carlig were all victorious in their tough matches vs. Harpeth High School.
Monday, February 1
Battle Ground Academy traveled to Pleasant View to wrestle against Sycamore High School Monday night. On a night where the Sycamore seniors were being recognized, the wrestling Wildcats performed in front of a packed house at Sycamore High School. Sycamore jumped out to a 24-point lead until seniors 160-lb. Kevin Dennis & 172-lb. Jack Revere began turning the tide. Our 182-lb. junior Miller Barnett and 195-lb. senior Iman Lohrasbi both excepted forfeits that tied the match at 24. BGA’s 220-lb. Jeremiah Rhames pulled off an amazing pin fighting off his back to put the Wildcats ahead for good. After Rhames’ match, the Wildcats never looked back. The Wildcats also defeated Hume Fogg following their match vs. Sycamore.
